Vehicle Appointment System
The "Vehicle Appointment System" is an application system for better allocate the operation time for visiting vehicles at the container terminal, which includes a PC based host system and mobile application. It enables the terminal to allocate the operation time of the gate and to divert the vehicles arriving in a much even pattern that can best match with the terminal and gate operation plan, thereby reducing the congestion at gate and improving the efficiency of gate operation.
The system connects with the terminal operation system(TOS), synchronizes the operation plan in real time, and the terminal operator monitors the appointment status of the operation plan in real time, as well as the number of appointments in each time slot . When the truck driver arrives at the gate and submitted the job order containing the relative appointment information, the information will be transmitted and checked against with the terminal data and update appointment status.
The mobile app included in the system is provided to the truck driver. By using the mobile app., drivers can query their own job order , submit an appointment , track the appointment status, and receive push notifications of the appointment accordingly.
In case of special jobs, the system can supplement the information of the operation plan of the terminal operation system through the mobile terminal App., and improve the operation plan by returning the operation management system.
